Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) are very similar. Both protect your account against unauthorised activity by requiring you to provide multiple authentication factors to prove your identity. The main difference is the number of factors that are needed. MFA requires two or more factors whereas 2FA requires two factors only.
