You can continue to manage any credit file bans as normal via our app and website, up to Wednesday 14 May 2025.

If you wish to extend a credit file ban after Wednesday 14 May 2025, you can do so by contacting Experian on 1300 783 684, or visiting the Experian website. Experian will then pass your ban extension request on to Equifax and illion (the other two major credit reporting bureaus in Australia), who will each confirm, via email, that your ban has been extended.

If you wish to remove a credit file ban after Wednesday 14 May 2025, you’ll need to contact each bureau directly using the contact details below:

  • To request lifting your ban with Experian: you can call 1300 783 684, or complete this form.

  • To request lifting your ban with Equifax: you can call 13 83 32, or complete this form.

  • To request lifting your ban with illion: you can call 13 23 33, or complete this form.

Experian, Equifax and illion may ask for information that can be found in the confirmation emails sent you when your credit file ban was initiated.
